EAD: Ecology in Architectural Design, a Swiss Virtual Campus funded project. EAD develops a blended learning course about how to integrate ecology in the architectural design, both at the building and at the urban level. EAD modules have been used in different higher education institutions in and outside Switzerland since 2004.
At the end of the course, students are able to integrate autonomously ecological considerations in any given architectural project, to understand the consequences of different choices and to evaluate alternatives, in order to optimize the project.
The course has been structured in two main blocks:
Use and Evaluation, Refinement and Adaptation in order to improve quality of the modules and of the didactic scenario. New tools are available and/or under verification. New modes of using and approaches are been thought in order to have a more effective learning in laboratories (atelier) of faculties of Architecture.
New requests and contacts from all over the World (Europe, South America and Australia)
Diffusion and Marketing: EAD is looking for institutions delivering life-long learning courses.
